22 Wrap-up

OH, YEAH

Superbowl Sunday, February 2

TeamChorizo here. I haven't posted on this site in two years, I think? Makes sense since my youngest kid is two. The point of saying this is that I really wish I could figure out how to put up an awesome picture or gif of Andy Reid breaking through a brick wall like the Kool-Aid guy, but I don't want to mess anything up on the site, so I'm copying a picture the Commish posted all the way back on August 19 before the season started! He also wrote, "As always, Andy Reid's excitement is the engine that propels this website. Good to see him back out there!" Andy Reid is definitely a hero in the Rowland house and we are psyched that he won tonight. Plus, San Francisco fans in general are kind of assholes, am I right? (sorry to any Niners fans). Really I just hate the SF Giants, but it carries over to football for me.

At any rate, the Chiefs also hold a special place in my heart because back in 2003 when Jon and I started dating (good lord we're getting old), I arbitrarily picked the Chiefs to be "my team". While I haven't followed them closely by any means, I do always root for them when they're on. So despite this being my worst JRA year in a long time, I thoroughly enjoyed the playoffs and the Superbowl today. Congrats to Kansas City and most importantly, to Andy Reid, for not fucking up time management for once in his life. Or maybe just congrats for doing such a great job early enough in the fourth quarter that his historically terrible time management and hot challenge flags didn't matter.

HUGE congrats to a newcomer to JRA this year, OrangeGreen, who had this thing wrapped up a few weeks ago. We may have a victor's speech in the next few days if he's feeling up to it. The rest of the standings got really shaken around the past few weeks and today. You can check out the standings page to see who landed in the top 13. Apparently, we were just lucky that 12 people chose Kansas City correctly to make the payouts this year! Only ZekeAndDestroy bet on the 49ers and still made the money.

Another great JRA year in the books! We'll see you in August for another one!
